Consultation Services
In addition to our website, we also offer individualized service on a consultation basis. We believe that each child is unique and we can help clarify your child’s educational needs, identify strengths and weaknesses, and take into account interests and dislikes. And while every school displays its image beautifully through its website and brochures, we provide unbiased, personalized advice with the best interests of your child in mind. With our thorough knowledge of the independent schools in San Diego, our goal is to help you make the most informed educational choice possible.

Meeting with Your Family
We begin our professional relationship by meeting with your family so that we can comprehensively evaluate your child’s academic needs, developmental level and extracurricular interests.
We first meet with you, the parents, to discuss your goals, hopes and expectations for your child. During our interview with you, we learn about the history of your child’s previous educational experiences and we examine previous school transcripts, test reports, and comments that you provide.
After we meet with you, we then meet with your child. We take this opportunity to get acquainted, to give your child a voice in the process, and to include your child as a stakeholder in selecting a school.
Researching Options
After creating a meaningful profile of your child, we research school options. We look for a school that will be an optimal match with your goals for your child as well as your child’s individual strengths and needs. We also discuss with the schools how they might be a good match for your child.
Offering Choices
At our follow-up meeting with you and your family, we discuss our research and advise you on schools that we feel are viable options and appropriate for consideration. We provide brochures and other information on specific schools to assist you in your decision-making, and we help you think strategically about structuring your school visits.
Assisting with the Application Process
Once you have decided upon the school(s) to which you would like to apply, we remain actively involved in the application process by:
- Discussing with you your impressions of schools that you visit
- Advising on applications and associated materials such as student and parent statements, and selection of teachers for recommendations
- Assisting with interview preparation
Maintaining Contact
Our services do not end with school selection and placement. We stay in contact with your family even after the new school year begins to ensure that your child’s academic needs have been met.
